SYNOPSIS

A longwave ridge is building over western Europe. On Monday at 06Z a vort max associated with a baroclinic wave is located over Denmark and moving southeastward. Downstream Another vort max over the eastern Bulgaria is moving southeastward as well. The air masses over Europe are expected to remain stable. Polar, locally slightly unstable air-masses over the western and northern British Isles and western Scandinavia will likely allow for the formation of some storms that may produce a few lightning strikes.
